SolidWorks Tips & Tricks

Using the Magnifying Glass in SolidWorks 2013

by John Koop, TEDCF Publishing

This is a quick tip on how to use the Magnifying Glass in SolidWorks.

Type the 'G' key to evoke the command, and as you can see below this toggles on the Magnifying Glass in this assembly, with no magnification.

You can move your pointer to move the circle.

You can also zoom in and out using the wheel on your mouse.

While in Magnifying Glass mode you can edit features, construct sketches and almost any task.

To turn the Magnifying Glass off, you can type the 'G' or 'Escape' keys, or simply click in the graphics area.

You can also improve your productivity with SolidWorks by watching our courses.
