To resolve this problem, I copied the AppData folder onto the D: drive under Autodesk in the Inventor 2011 folder:
D:\Autodesk\Inventor 2011\AppData
Next, I went into the AppData folder on the D: drive, opened the Local folder, and deleted the Virtual Store folder:
D:\Autodesk\Inventor2011\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\
Lastly, I opened Inventor and changed the file pathways to the pathways you see below.
The reason I chose the D: drive, was because the Virtual Store is not activated by default. You can store your folder on whichever drive you like as long as the Virtual Store is not active on that drive. Once you have relocated your files and changed your pathways, you’ll know that Inventor will use the correct versions of your parts.
