Now for the tricks
Sense the line is coincident with the arcs you can drag the line to change the size of the circle.

Notice that this makes the line tangent to the circle. On a macroscopic scale it is tangent, but technically there are two points and an arc on and above the circle, so it’s not tangent by definition.

Let’s say you want to draw a line from the highlighted line below, and you want to start the line between the vertical lines.

There are several ways to do this, in fact I would typically use a construction line to find the point, but you can use the Split command to find it.

Split the line on one intersection.

And then split it on the other intersection.

Now you can select the node on the middle of the line segment.

The last and most used trick for the Split command is to break lines and curves to form a closed profile.
