The constraints that conflict with the dimension are also highlighted in the graphics area. Click Yes to add the dimension and delete the parallel constraint.

Enter the value for the dimension, and the sketch has been modified. It’s also fully constrained.

You can also drag geometry to change dimensions. In this example no constraint warnings are shown, so the sketch will be fully constrained after dragging the corner of the profile.

You may know that you can click a line to show the constraints attached to it, but when you’re in Relax Mode it’s not necessary. Let’s say you want the vertical line perpendicular to the bottom horizontal line. When in Relax Mode, all you need to do is add the perpendicular constraint to the lines.

You’ll get a similar prompt as before, and you’ll see that the vertical constraint will be removed from the line. Click Yes to add the perpendicular constraint and remove the vertical constraint.

It’s too easy to accidentally modify your sketches while in Relax Mode, so I recommend that you turn it on to make your modifications, and then turn it off when you’re finished.
