The SolidWorks 2021: Mechanical Drawings course takes your skills to the next level by showing you how to make professional 2D drawings of your part and assembly files.
The goal of the course is to show you how to automate this task as much as possible. You will create custom title blocks that automatically fill in all the title block information. You will customize BOMs, tables, lists, and much more. By the time you finish the course you will be able to quickly create professional looking drawings customized to your specifications.
The course starts by showing you how drawing templates that come with SOLIDWORKS work. Once you have that under your belt, you'll quickly begin working on custom drawing component like custom borders, layers, and title blocks. You'll practice setting up your title blocks so that they automatically fill in when you insert a new view. Your title blocks and borders will be professionally constructed and set to your preferences.
Once you've mastered the drawing templates you'll practice using the Property Tab Builder. This is a powerful tool that gives you more options for entering values and editing your title blocks.
You will continue to learn customization tips and tricks as you practice creating drawings. Custom revision tables, BOMs, and all the drawing views are covered in detail.
From line color to line type and weight, you will take charge of your mechanical drawings. You will learn how to control layers and how to use them to build intelligence into your drawings. Customize every aspect of your mechanical drawings so that you can apply features with a click of a button. You will be in control after you finish this course.
